A man was taken to hospital after a car hit a wall and overturned in Deganwy.

The incident happened at around 1pm on Monday, when a silver Volvo car had gone through a stone wall off Marl Lane.

The man was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor shortly after.

A Welsh Ambulance spokesperson said: “We were called shortly after 1pm today, Monday, October 31, to reports of a road traffic accident in the Pen-y-Gaer area of Deganwy.

“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man was taken to Bangor’s Ysbyty Gwynedd.”

A passer-by, who was travelling on the bus at the time, said: "I saw a car on its roof - it had gone through the wall. It was unclear what had happened but it looked like the car had entered Marl Drive coming from Llandudno way. It appeared to have lost control, hit the wall on the far side of the road and turned over.”
