Bangor one of the five wettest cities in the UK

BANGOR is among the wettest cities in the UK.

Using data available from the Met Office rainwater harvesting company Freeflush were able to rank cities based on total annual rainfall.

Those people living in Cardiff may be surprised to learn that the Welsh capital has taken the top spot thanks to experiencing 1152 milimetres and 149 days of rain.

Bangor made it into the top five along with St Davids, Glasgow, and Truro.

Bangor made it to fourth spot with 1100 mm of rainfall a year and 151 days blighted by downpours.

St Asaph was placed 21st with 814 mm of rain and 146 days effected by wet weather.

Manchester, often credited as the UK’s rainfall capital, made it to 15th spot with 867 mm of rain or 152 days a year.

The cities you are less likely to need an umbrella in. London has been named the driest city and is closely followed by Cambridge, Derry and Ely.
