After a 20-minute hearing the case against 26-year-old Bangor man Kieron Terence Roberts, who is accused of murder, was adjourned at Caernarfon crown court.

It will next come to court on August 18 when Roberts, of Penrhyn Avenue, Bangor, will enter a plea.

He is accused of the murder of 27-year-old Esinkumo Ayabowei allegedly in an incident outside the Peep nightclub at Bangor on April 1. Mr Ayabowei, of Llangefni in Anglesey, was a civil servant and had played football for local teams.

He died in a specialist trauma unit at Stoke on Trent.

Wednesday’s case was conducted in a three-way video hearing, with Judge Paul Thomas QC and prosecution and defence QCs at Swansea crown court and the defendant at Altcourse remand centre, LIverpool.
