IT’S one in and one out at Llanidloes Town as Hugh Clarke begins to put his stamp on the Daffs after his appointment as boss.

His first signing is the versatile Nefin Savage who arrives from Huws Gray Alliance strugglers Rhayader Town.

The defender, who can play anywhere across the back, and in central midfield has been brought in to bolster the Spar side, who currently sit 10th in the league.

Out of the door has gone former Llansantffraid Village striker Ollie Clarke, who has joined league rivals Welshpool Town.

Boss Clarke has challenged the current players to prove themselves before any new signings come in.

He said: “Nefin is a good signing for us, who can play in a number of positions.

“It is still early, and a few lads have left already, but I want the current players to improve themselves, and if they don’t then I will be looking at other signings.

“Against Penrhyncoch we were brilliant first half, but rubbish second half. However weather permitting we have a tough clash with Welshpool this weekend and all the lads are buzzing.”
