Emergency services descended on Montgomery on Monday afternoon when a driver had a cardiac arrest at the wheel.
At around 4.40pm, emergency services were called to Kerry Street following reports that a vehicle had mounted the pavement.
Fire crews, police and ambulance crews arrived on the scene to find a man had a cardiac arrest, and began CPR.
A Montgomery Fire Station spokesperson said a crew was mobilised along with a crew from Welshpool.
The station later tweeted: “Casualty conveyed to hospital via road ambulance, breathing. Good teamwork all round.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called at around 4.40pm on Monday to reports a car had mounted the pavement on Kerry Street in Montgomery.
“We sent two rapid response cars and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and one person was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.”
