Hundreds of people of all ages hit the streets of Llangefni for its annual carnival.

The sun was beaming down over the Anglesey town as floats paraded on through the area much to the delight of the big crowd in attendance.

2017 Carnival Queen, Bethany Louise Satter and Princess, Kiera, led the march alongside their retinue and family members.

Children from Tan Capel and Lon Tudur followed suit with their homemade float, while Bangor University’s Confucius Institute added a bit of an oriental flavour to the carnival. The Llangefni Majorettes also dazzled in their all-pink outfits.

Fancy dress proved to be popular on the day as the likes of Minnie Mouse, Captain Jack Sparrow, Spiderman, a Minion, Mrs Brown and Postman Pat all made an appearance.

After the parade, countless stalls and entertainment were provided for visitors in a nearby field.

Wrestling company, Britannia Wrestling Promotions, who are based in the Rhyl area, also returned to entertain youngsters and parents alike with their dangerous and exciting moves and holds.

Overall, the day proved to be a roaring success with many of those who attended commenting on the “fantastic organisation” of the event.
